The Uttar Pradesh government has approved ₹8,500 crore in incentives for two semiconductor projects, Tarq Semiconductors and Vama Sundari Investments, under its Semiconductor Policy-2024. The projects, attracting a combined ₹32,146 crore investment, are set to create over 14,000 direct and indirect jobs. Located near the Noida international airport, the facilities aim to boost Uttar Pradesh’s role in India's semiconductor ecosystem, pending final approval from the central government.
