India and the U.S. have announced plans for their first national security semiconductor fabrication plant, aimed at producing chips for military hardware and critical telecommunications. This initiative, hailed as a "watershed moment" by Prime Minister Modi and President Biden, follows discussions in Wilmington on September 21. The facility will manufacture advanced semiconductors, supported by the India Semiconductor Mission and strategic partnerships. Meanwhile, Vietnam is advancing its semiconductor development, aiming to establish itself as a global hub by training 50,000 engineers by 2030 and integrating further into the global supply chain by 2050.
