India Invests ₹3,000 Crore+ in Semiconductor R&D and Talent Development

India is accelerating its journey in the global semiconductor industry with investments exceeding ₹2,859 crore in R&D and ₹298 crore in skill development over the past decade. These efforts have boosted India’s status as a hub for innovation and talent, with initiatives like SMDP-C2SD and C2S nurturing a skilled workforce. With 19% of the global semiconductor design workforce, India is cementing its position in the semiconductor value chain.
