Roles & Responsibilities:
Supplier Evaluation and Selection:
- Evaluate potential elastomer suppliers based on quality standards, capabilities, and production capacity.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to select vendors that meet the company’s requirements and standards.
- Supplier Auditing:
- Conduct regular audits of elastomer suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Identify areas for improvement and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
- Performance Management:
- Monitor the performance of elastomer suppliers through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality, delivery, and cost.
- Develop and maintain supplier scorecards to track performance over time.
- Quality Assurance:
- Establish quality control processes for incoming elastomer materials.
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
- Technical Expertise:
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of elastomer materials, properties, and processing techniques to provide technical support to suppliers and internal teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in elastomer technology.
Eligibility Criteria:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in supplier engineering or quality engineering roles, with a specific focus on elastomers.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficiency in evaluating elastomer materials, understanding their properties, and familiarity with processing techniques.
- Experience in supplier evaluation, auditing, and performance management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring product quality and reliability.
