We are seeking an experienced Thin Film Equipment Engineer to support 300mm wafer fab operations. The role involves equipment maintenance, installation, process support, and continuous improvement to ensure high tool uptime, stable process performance, and production efficiency.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Support new tool installation, hook-up, and commissioning activities.
- Lead equipment qualification (T1–T3) and ensure readiness for production.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for installation and upgrades.
- Manage gas delivery systems, vacuum pumps, RF systems, and abatement systems.Perform tool fault diagnosis and recovery to minimize downtime and meet production targets.
- Execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) with on-time and first-time-right completion.
- Drive actions to eliminate repeat failures and improve MTBF.
- Monitor and improve MTTR, uptime, and tool availability.
- Perform data entry and maintenance in systems (e.g., Semisoft / MES / data warehouse).
- Maintain accurate records of PM, breakdowns, and corrective actions.
- Prepare reports on tool performance and improvement initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
Mandatory Skills:
- M.Tech/M.S./B.Tech/Diploma
- >5 years of experience in THINFILM tools
- Hands-on experience in 300mm Thin Film deposition tools, such as:
- Novellus C2 Speed / C1 / C2 Sequel
- AMAT Producer (PECVD / SACVD / BPSG)
- Strong understanding of:
- CVD processes (PECVD, SACVD, LPCVD basics)
- Gas flow systems, RF power systems, vacuum systems, and chamber hardware
- Film properties and deposition control mechanisms
- Knowledge of SPC, MTBF, MTTR, and equipment KPIs
- Ability to interpret P&ID, schematics, and tool documentation
Preferred Skills :
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
