Who are we looking for?

Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboarding a highly skilled "Electrical Engineer III" with a good understanding of various electronics/electrical components. The candidate will be part of a team assisting in the delivery of efficient engineering support and solutions to customers while also contributing to the development of the Indian semiconductor ecosystem.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work on obsolescence activities with higher complexity to qualify replacements, perform testing to qualify and release in the system along with the documentation.
• End-to-end ownership: Work collaboratively with the cross-functional team comprising mechanical, software, system and process engineering (in different geographies) to develop and qualify engineering solutions.
• Design electrical systems to the specifications of our clients, keeping safety and compliance with all local and federal laws and regulations at the forefront of your mind.
• Review designs to ensure they will be safe, fit the clients' needs, and remain in compliance.
• Participate in design reviews to present the design throughout the different phases of design and development.
• Identify project risks and perform FMEA or provide mitigation strategy to eliminate risk
• Plan each phase of the engineering while coordinating with other team to ensure each deadline is met.
• Review documentation of the team and provide guidance

Eligibility Criteria

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics with experience of 6-10 years.
• Master's degree is preferred with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
• Must be comfortable working with US-based timings.

Mandatory Skills:

• Must have a good understanding of the electrical & electronics components and must be able to select and recommend components depending upon application and circuit requirements.
• Understanding of electronics components, schematics/system interconnect.
• Hands-on experience in testing electronics components- bench-level test and system-level test.
• Must be up to date on all electrical codes and laws, and regulations to ensure compliance
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Critical/ system level thinking.
• Good project management skillset and multi-tasking capability
• Must be an excellent planner with strong time management skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good to have:

• Exposure of working on part lifecycle management, change orders using any PLM system.
• Experience in working on electronic components obsolescence
• Understand concepts of Reliability & system engineering
• Understanding on PCB and components
• Hands-on experience with AUTOCAD/Zuken/PCAD software.
